Carin Rodebjer is a Swedish fashion designer that runs one of Sweden's most prominent fashion brands, Rodebjer. She has received numerous awards over the years including 'Fashion Designer of the Year' from Elle three times. Rodebjer defines effortless elegance for progressive woman and the collections are useful, elegant and feminine with sharp silhouettes and timeless designs.
Rodebjer's Spring/Summer '14 and Autumn/Winter '14 collection were both shown in New York. Although Carin's style is very Scandinavian it looks like New York has made an impression on the designer, as her Spring girl felt more cosmopolitan than she has in the past seasons and will probably attract the attention of city girls.
For Spring 2014 Rodebjer showed a collection of simple, clean lines and a pallet of black, cream, dusty pink, citrus with a dash of indigo. "The inspiration for the collection comes from the idea of peace and Eileen Gray who was an architect and modernist pioneer", Carin tells an interview with style.com.
The silhouettes show on her comfortable style when you can see the kimono shapes, pyjamas style and floor-length blouses. If one word could describe the collection, it would be effortlessness.
Rodebjer is today based in Stockholm and New York, where Carin now lives.
