#ByrogueLoves KARLA DERAS
"I don't wear heels and a tutu to get coffee at Starbucks so that people can stare at me. I wear it because that is what I feel good in." Karla Deras
With so many new beautiful faces popping up in the bloggers scene, it’s easy to get caught up with a new style crush every other week. That’s all well and good but sometimes its good to remember the bloggers that were there before it became the cool thing to do. There’s something pure and authentic about the bloggers who accidently created this new society and guru culture before it was widely considered a career or form of income.
Back in April 2008 a young 18-year-old girl named Karla Deras started a style blog names Karla’s Closet. Fast forward six years and the famous blogger can now add stylist, jewellery designer, visual artist, vintage clothing collector, and e-tailer to her résumé. A lover of vintage designer labels, Karla consistently gives us closet envy wit her incredible clothes and even more incredible footwear to match. She’s known for her fashion but we love her for more than the individual items of clothes on her back, but the way she pairs them together so simply yet in a way that we never would have thought of. Her womanly silhouette adds to our envy as she wears midriff exposed, slender leg showing ensembles that flatter her figure in the classiest way. Whilst most of us, when running errands, would reach for our comfiest pair of flats (or maybe a pair of low heeled boots if we really felt glam) Karla is always photographed in a beautifully fitting strappy pair of heels, making the heels-in-the-day look appear effortless.
As if her style wasn’t enough reason to love Karla, she also promotes a healthy lifestyle with regular recipes on her blog. Karla also travels a lot, allowing us readers to experience the extraordinary places she visits as she captures the moments so beautifully.
